Crops in Uraliwa

Several plants are grown in Uraliwa for both eating and crafting.
Edible Produce (per region)
Grasslands
- Grass Bites: The Hap'ti breed various types of grasses to supply them with the large amount of fiber their digestive system needs. The stalks are typically dried and bundled into compact squares with a fruit filling.
- Landscare: Tuber brought over from the homeland of the Hap'ti that is toxic when raw. It is processed by being boiled, dried, grated and squeezed. The solids become flour used in bread, porridge or roasted with oil and served with other dishes.
- Vigor Herb: Herb with leaves rich in stimulants. Can either be chewed raw or infused in boiling water.
Shrublands
- Moongrain: Cereal with large, white disc-like grains bundled together in a cob. Used in a variety of dishes: bread, porridge, beer and desserts among many others.
- Rattleseed: Plant with a large spherical pod that contains several loose seeds inside it. It detaches from the plant and makes a rattling sound as it is carried by the wind. Usually turned into cream or oil.
- Sand Bowl: Short, rotund cactus that processes water into a nutritious liquid in its interior. The liquid can be drunk as-is or used as a basis for infusions, while the flesh is usually sauteed.
Lush Mountains
- Inkroots: Tubers characterized by a large variety of colors, each having slight difference in taste and texture. Preserved by repeatedly freezing, thawing and drying naturally throughout the day. Can be cooked and used in a multitude of dishes.
- Fresh Harvests: Vines with fruits that taste different depending on how long they are left to grow. Early harvests produce small and sweet Freshdawns, while late harvests produce large juicy Freshdusks.
- Blood Bowl: Closely related to the Sand Bowl, evolved spines that expand if touched in order to draw blood from animals. Produces a sweet nectar that is prized by the Lyap'ti but forbidden to the Hap'ti.
Shores
- Moonberry: Plant well-adapted for beach environments. The fruits are white and full of tiny seeds. Eaten raw or cooked into other dishes.
- Honey: While the Hap'ti have only recently began to consume it, the Liyap'ti have been practicing apiculture for centuries. Subtle taste and color variation according to the flowers used.
- Salt: Extracted from saltwater. Used in various dishes.
Non-Edible Crops
These are cultivated all over the island so they will not be listed per region.
- Hardgrass: Bamboo-like plants. The shoots can be eaten, but it is mostly dried and used for fibers, tools or building materials.
- Dreampod: Trees that grow large pods filled with a cotton-like material. It is said that pillows stuffed with Dreampod fibers keep nightmares away.
- Perfumes and Dyes: Various types of flowers and berries are cultivated in order to create perfumes and dyes. The former can be divided into fabric dyes and body paints.
