Yukaruna

Yukaruna Springsfourth is a First Circle Hap'ti who lives in [Farm Settlement]. She is a headstrong, imposing figure who takes charge when it comes to management and leadership tasks. She nests with Tisna and Alpa.

Appearance

Yukaruna perfectly fits Hap'ti beauty standards: Tall, well-fed and healthy. She has uniform rust-colored fur with a large white-furred section covering the entire front of her torso. She does not possess much muscle mass but she can pull her own weight when it comes to manual labor perfectly well.

As a First Circle worker Yukaruna is generally nude and in intricate full body paint. She wears gold wrist and ankle bracelets and favors black when she does put on clothing.

History

Yukaruna was raised by Fourth Circle parents who pioneered new effective agriculture techniques — and traveled often to spread them to various settlements across Uraliwa. She practically ran her family in the abscence of her parents which led to her developing a sense of leadership and resource management skills. She received many endorsements during Blooming and ended up joining the First Circle. Formed a nest with Tisna despite his low status, and integrated Alpa at his request even though she did not know much about them.

Description

Personality

Stern, strict and demanding but also very loyal and reliable. Good at convincing people through her imposing presence alone. Identifies with an acts like the archetypal dam, but wishes she was not always expected to fix every situation she came across. She is painfully honest and demands those who talk to her do the same. She has trouble expressing gratitude and secretly feels guilty about her hard-to-please image, but refuses to lower her standards in order to foster excellence from those around her. She always gives her all when it comes to solving problems she chose herself, but hates when other people saddle her with their own problems. She naturally takes control of every situation she is in if she thinks that the actual leader is not doing a good enough job — even when she is not actually the most qualified to do so. Strong link with the material world and the things she can touch, see and hear.

In moments of quiet she enjoys board games, playing the flute and gardening. She enjoys being alone while resting, but will open exceptions for loved ones such as her family and her nest.

Beliefs

Yukaruna is very confident in her own abilities as a leader and believes she can help the Hap'ti prosper. She believes in the virtues and the duty of the Hap'ti but does not concern herself with folklore and myths of Sunscripture. She views ritual channeling as a way of demonstrating excellence and truth-seeking — if one of Wara'hap's feats can be replicated through channeling then it must have truth to it.

Skills

Yukaruna went through the standard education process for First Circle workers. She excels at problem solving and resource management, but lacks knowledge of and interest in the immaterial and supernatural. She usually gets put in charge of management tasks such as scheduling and data collection. Greatly enjoys doing ritual channeling; she is naturally powerful though her repertoire of spells is not very extensive. Very fine motor skills, leading to beautiful handwriting.

Relationships

• Family: Still in contact with her many siblings, spends a good amount of her free time visiting them and making sure they are doing well. Loves them even though she secretly resents having to parent them. Despite that she does not hold much of a grudge toward her parents as they are hard and accomplished workers.
• Tisna: They met during their Blooming. Yukaruna deeply appreciates how dedicated he is to his duties despite devoting himself more toward social and cultural practices.
• Alpa: Only met them after Tisna asked if they could join the nest. Does not have much common ground with them and thinks their habits are strange, but appreciates that they cover her weaknesses pretty well.
